Our story begins back in 1983 when Michael founded Franklin Caterers providing food service for corporate cafeterias around Metrowest, Massachusetts. Then, in 1985, Joan came on board and began running the catering division of the business and Franklin Caterers took off.
Fast forward to 2001 when Joan and Michael purchased Caraway's Restaurant in Wayland, Massachusetts where they had the retail restaurant and expanded the catering business as well.
In 2010, Joan and Michael sold Caraway's and moved the catering division to our current location here in Framingham, MA. Since then, we have grown to be the premiere caterer for Metrowest and beyond servicing both private as well as corporate functions. We are also a preferred caterer for the Commonweath of Massachusetts and feed many state agencies.
In 2017, we were fortunate and honored to be recognized as a Certified Women Owned Business by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
In late 2020, Jeremy (Joan and Michael's son) took over as Head Chef to truly keep the business in the family and continue the growth and success of Franklin Catering.
